Feeling isolated and alone in a care home during lockdown, Reuben’s health deteriorated and he began to give up. In desperation, he sent a text message to his brother Manni that read: “brother. do. you. love. me.”
Manni promptly returned to the UK on a one-way ticket and headed straight to the care home. Being as the home was unable to care for Reuben the way he needed at that point, the brothers went to a cottage in Dorset together to hunker down for the winter.
