Grants for Professionals

The following funding resources may be helpful if you are looking for help with the costs of training, services, and products for your learners. We will continue to update this page as new resources become available. Please note, Pyramid Educational Consultants is not affiliated with any of the below organisations.

Case Study

Rhiannon Jones is a teaching assistant in a special needs school in Wales. Recently, her local UNISON schools rep asked her if she would be interested in taking a PECS® course which they were funding.

Rhiannon says “I wanted to do the course due to working in a special needs school – to help the children I work with.  I probably wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t for UNISON and their support. Unison provided me with all the details I needed and were able to help me apply for the course… and they funded my place! I’ve had a bad experience of learning in the past, which has turned me off pursuing my teaching dreams, but this experience has inspired me to continue my studies.”

RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists) Minor Grants Scheme
The RCSLT Minor Grant Scheme exits to assist speech and language therapists in continuing professional development by awarding grants for training, in particular short courses (normally to a maximum of £500). The applicant must have been an RCSLT member with 2 years continuous membership (can include 1 yr student membership).

Autism Aware

To qualify for consideration of funding you must be a registered school/group/ non- profit organisation and not had funding from Autism Aware before. Funding payments are made as a one off donation, not as reoccurring weekly/monthly or annual payments.
