Having a PECS consultant come and work with us at home made all the difference.
It meant we could work at our pace, looking at the specific issues we were having. My son really enjoyed the sessions, Louise always had something exciting that he wanted to do, and I remember thinking how much more he was engaging with us. Louise also visited my son’s pre-school which helped ensure we were all using PECS consistently.

One of the biggest challenges we face when working with learners with special educational needs is not understanding the reason for certain behaviours. Our first instinct often is to ask, “How do I get this to stop?” This question may lead to implementing short term fixes rather than developing long term solutions. This service compliments our Challenging Behaviours: Prevent, Reduce & Replace workshop; however, attendance at this workshop is not a pre-requisite. A written report with next steps and recommendations is sent by email within 2 weeks of the visit. Minimum booking is 2 hours.
for 2 hours, £100 per additional hour thereafter

What are the key skills you want your child to achieve by the time they reach adulthood? All parents want their child to be employable and living as independently as possible. Social, communication and recreational skills are all necessary for increased independence as well as overall improved quality of life. Children with developmental delays take longer to learn skills, so where do we want to spend valuable time? Our team can provide you with focused support at home to help you specifically improve on these key skills. We can assist you to identify and design at home activities as well as specific goals to ensure your child is truly on the road to increased independence.
