A survey on behalf of the Department for Education is being developed by the National Children’s Bureau, in collaboration with NatCen Social Research.

This is a new survey aimed at gathering the views of parents, children and young people on pupil’s experiences and educational performance at school, with a focus on the challenges children may face and how these affect their education. They are especially keen that the views of parents of children with SEND are represented.

The current stage of the study requires parents of children in Year 1 at primary school to trial the resources. There is a screening survey and if chosen you will be invited to a one-hour interview for which they will receive a £30 shopping voucher as a thank you for participating. Any questions about this research can be directed to Dr Richard Nugent via email at rnugent@ncb.org.uk.
